Walt Disney World Resort – Since the first guests walked down Main Street, U.S.A., on Oct. 1, 1971, Walt Disney World Resort has become an iconic destination for millions of families around the world. Today, it is home to four theme parks, two water parks, five golf courses, 28 owned-and-operated resorts and hundreds of merchandise and dining experiences. Pandora – The World of AVATAR officially opened at Disney's Animal Kingdom in 2016, representing the largest expansion in the park's history. As the resort approaches its 50th Anniversary in 2021, new attractions based on Ratatouille and Guardians of the Galaxy will be added to Epcot, Toy Story Land and the first ever Mickey-themed ride-through attraction will open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and a Tron-themed attraction will make its debut at the Magic Kingdom. An immersive Star Wars-themed resort hotel and a proposed 15th Disney Vacation Club property have also been announced, as well as the new Minnie Van service and Disney Skyliner transportation systems. In 2019, a 14-acre Star Wars-themed land will open at Magic Kingdom with two signature attractions and new experiences for Star Wars fans to step into stories from a galaxy far, far away.
