Walt Disney World Resort

Walt Disney World Resort – Since guests first strolled down Main Street, U.S.A., on Oct. 1, 1971, Walt Disney World Resort has become an iconic destination for hundreds of millions of guests from around the globe. Today, it is home to four theme parks, two water parks, 28 owned and operated resort hotels, and the Disney Springs shopping, dining and entertainment district.

In preparation for its 50th Anniversary in 2021, Walt Disney World Resort is experiencing unprecedented growth. With the opening of Pandora – The World of Avatar in 2017, as well as the new Toy Story Land set to open June 30, 2018, and construction continuing on the 14-acre Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opening in 2019, the resort is adding new experiences designed to elevate the immersive experiences Disney is known for. In addition to these projects, new attractions based on Ratatouille and Guardians of the Galaxy will be added to Epcot, the first ever Mickey-themed ride-through attraction will open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and a Tron-themed attraction will make its debut at the Magic Kingdom. An immersive Star Wars-themed resort hotel and a proposed 15th Disney Vacation Club property have also been announced, as well as the new Disney Skyliner transportation system.
